Arrest made in Haringey murder case

Detectives investigating a murder in Haringey last Sunday have made an arrest. On Wednesday, 10 April, a 33-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of the murder of Okechukwu Iweha. He remains in custody at this time. Police were called at 05:51hrs on Sunday, 7 April to Northumberland Park N17, after a man was found unresponsive. Officers responded with London Ambulance Service paramedics, finding Okechukwu Iweha suffering from stab injuries. Despite CPR, he was pronounced dead at the scene. Okechukwu’s family is being supported, and a post-mortem examination is scheduled. Detective Chief Inspector Neil John is leading the investigation and urges witnesses to come forward. Chief Superintendent Caroline Haines reassures the community and asks for any available information to be shared with the police.
